about

I drove the six blocks to the Holiday and if I didn’t know better, I’d probably say that I think that these streets have been missing my feet
I couldn’t drive then, now I can, so I won’t take the walk I don’t think I could stand the feeling I get when I pass by our old places
But like you said, none of us are dead or anything
It sucks to see time pass, but that’s just life
But few things make me more sad than thinking about everything I know I won’t get back

I drove for four years down the other lane and like the fool I was I pretended not to see the impending doom of my crash
So at another cheap dinner at Applebee’s I find it hard to quite explain exactly when and where it was that I got off track
But like you said, none of us are dead or anything
It sucks to see time pass, but that’s just life
And like you said none of us are missing anything, we’re all still friends and we’ve still got time
That should suffice

I’ve heard so long to accept things as they are not what I wanted from them

Oh, I have spent so much time assigning blame for problems solved so long ago and
I will siphon off pain to those who vaguely got too close
Oh, should I apply that to mechanical contrition; unnecessary, but offered
I have been here so long I swore your jaw had rusted shut
Have we said enough?
